Brewood Awakening is an informal evening service held every couple of months at St. Mary & St. Chad Church, Brewood, where we try to be open to the work of the Holy Spirit and seek to be inspired and encouraged in our faith. The format for the evening is usually a time of worship, followed by a guest speaker for around 45 minutes, ministry time that allows us to respond to what we’ve heard in various different ways, followed by coffee and doughnuts at the back of church.
Previous speakers at Awakening have included Ian McCormack, Ian Coffey, Rev. Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons, and Rt. Rev. Clive Gregory, Bishop of Wolverhampton.
The next Awakening is on Thursday 18th July at 7.30 pm when we welcome Jeremy Lefroy, the Member of Parliament for Stafford.
Jeremy will be speaking on the challenges (and opportunities) of faith in the world of modern politics.
A slice of worship at the start, and the usual coffee and doughnuts at the end.
All welcome. Admission free.
